Colossus of Rhodes was a huge bronze statue of Greek sun-god Helios built at the harbour of Rhodes in commemoration of the raising of the siege of Rhodes. It was the tallest statue of the ancient world (33 meter tall) and stood from approximately 292 BCE until 226 BCE when it fell in an earthquake.
